VINEYARD
Cerise is a celebrated vineyard planted on the steep southwest facing hillside slopes just north of the town of Boonville in the Anderson Valley AVA. Saintsbury’s
relationship with the site formed in 2005; our winemaker, Jerome Chery, worked with the vineyard prior and brought it into Saintsbury’s single-vineyard collection. Today, we enjoy 4.3 acres from this spectacular 37 acre-vineyard.
Appellation: Anderson Valley AVA
Clones: Dijon 115,667,777 and Pommard
Terroir: A self limiting hillside vineyards that sits between 700 and 1100ft above the
Valley floor. Shallow gravely loam soils providing excellent drainage.

VINTAGE 2010
A vintage characterized by a cool growing season which produced slow ripening, lowyielding, high quality fruit. An Indian Summer aided in the full and final development of the grapes on the vine, resulting in optimal fruit coming in at Harvest.

Aging: 10 months in 30% new French oak barrels (François Frères and Taransaud)
Alcohol: 14.5%
