An iconic vineyard within the Carneros AVA, Stanly Ranch was originally planted in
1870 by Judge Stanly. Saintsbury’spartnership remains intimate despite the popularity of the site. Today, we enjoy exclusive access to the Stanly Ranch grapes from 3 hillside blocks which sit on clay loam soil, allowing for excellent, exposure and development drainage and development of the fruit.

A vintage characterized by a cool growing season which produced slow steady
ripening, lively acidity, resulting in superb fruit. An Indian Summer aided in the full
and final maturation of the grapes on the vine, resulting in perfectly flavored clusters coming in at Harvest.
Harvest Date: October 2 and 4th, 2010
The fruit is night harvest and arrives on the crushpad at daybreak. From there, each
block remains separate and receives gentle handling starting on the sorting table and to the open top fermenters for 5 day cold soak, 11 day total cuvaison.
Aging: 10 months in 30% new French oak barrels (François Frères and Taransaud)
