2017 Dahut Hillside Pinot Noir
2017 is our first vintage with Dahut Vineyard. It was planted in 2011 on a 3-acre site on the western slopes of Sonoma Mountain. It sits on volcanic, rocky soils overlooking the Petaluma Gap at 1,500 feet elevation. The vineyard is planted to five clones of Pinot Noir: Dijon selections 115,777,459,828, and Calera. The wines uniquely express the concentration and vibrancy of its place.
The 2017 Dahut Vineyard Pinot Noir offers aromas of red cherry, currant, mint leaf, and violet. Flavors include red and black plum and cherry notes blended with a hint of fresh tobacco leaf. Ready to drink and with proper storage could age for seven to ten years.
